    Two days a week, gone to quoting. That was the number before we touched anything. The instinct is to buy a quoting platform. We mapped the process first and found that two of seven steps carried most of the delay. We automated those two and left the rest alone. Turnaround went from 2.5 days to 4 hours. Nobody learned a new system. The scope we did not take on is the reason it worked.
